Our K-5 classes are working on recognizing the six simple machines and how they make work easier by using less effort.  New vocabulary has been introduced and is reviewed frequently.  Our final project will be to incorporate at least two of the simple machines we learned about to create a mousetrap. We are off to a new year with 4 wonderful students! One of our older students has moved to Vermont but another has moved in from the 2nd grade classroom. We hope you enjoy our web page and make comments.

This week we will be involved in a Bicycle Safety Program. Students will learn how to be safe on the road while riding their bikes. Other activities include individual Pirate research and preparing for our “Deaf Treasure” skit. We hope you will be able to join us in our Library on June 1st to see our skit.
